Become a CFIG Sponsor

Corrigin Farm Improvement Group (CFIG) is a community based not-for-profit grower group based in Corrigin that services a wider region of the central/southern Wheatbelt. CFIG is in a transitional ag zone covering the area of the Shires of Corrigin, Kulin, Kondinin, Bruce Rock, Narembeen and Quairading.

CFIG strives to provide members with up to date information and research to improve our farming practises. Our key priority is to be a reputable investigative delivery body for our region that successfully disseminates information to our members. CFIG has a charter to promote farmer education and participation which we have successfully achieved since our formation in 1981. Information generated from our research is distributed to members and the wider community via a number of formats including field days, newsletters, email, internet and special events.

Corrigin Farm Improvement Group has a history of conducting successful on-farm research and has completed a large range of trials and demonstration sites. Our group ensures we keep our research local by addressing our key issues and challenges for our region including:

  • Environmental stressed (Frost & Heat stress)
  • Weed seed management and herbicide resistance
  • Non-wetting soils
  • Disease.
  • Pasture & legume herbicide tolerant species.

CFIG prides itself on our success due to our devoted members running the organisation. We have a young driven committee and members, and our events are designed to find a balance between information provision and social interaction. Currently there are over 110 farming businesses members of the Corrigin Farm Improvement Group.

As we enter an exciting new era of farming CFIG accepts the challenge to engage farmers in on-farm research and improvement of farming practises. CFIG recognises the need to create strong working relationships with reputable businesses that also strive to succeed in our industry and address current challenges. We offer the opportunity for businesses to provide sponsorship to our group and create a relationship that is mutually beneficial for each party. CFIG has the ability to offer businesses real benefits, in particular market exposure through our special events and membership network. The group offers four levels of sponsorship, Diamond, Gold, Silver and Bronze. We are willing to negotiate more specific sponsorship agreements were suitable.
